Development

  • As you may already know, an unexpected fork occured this week, pushing some larger pools (including the PoCC ones) to a new chain. The issue solved itself after popping off a few blocks from the pool wallets and the network is back to normal.
    • PoC Consortium developer Brabantian has been busy analyzing the wallet and the fork for a couple days. It seems like we will have a fix soon.
    • Beware of the FUD – rest assured that network stability and security are the topmost priorities for the PoC Consortium. Big plans have been unveiled, yet it doesn’t mean developers stopped working on improving the current network.
  • A last reminder for the Summer of dApps Contest! This major community challenge ends on September 4th. It is your chance at winning burstcoins and a portable Burst node/miner.

Conclusion

A rather quiet week in terms of public development. Yet a rather busy one for private repositories. Having a look at current community discussions, we can easily see that marketing has been a topical subject. This should be next week’s main topic as well, as we should start to see some new perspectives in this regard. Stay tuned on the Burstcoinist!

Thank you and see you next week.
